University Grants Commission has approved financial assistance to Special Centre for Molecular Medicine at Jawaharlal Nehru University for the duration of 5 years under Special Assistance Programme (SAP, DRS-I). The thrust areas for research and teaching identified are ‘Metabolic Disorders and Infectious Diseases’.
Applications are invited for the following purely temporary positions under UGC-Special Assistance Programme (UGC-SAP, DRS-I) at Special Centre for Molecular Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
The consolidated salary of the appointed Project Fellows will be Rs. 8000/- per month (each) as per the rules & regulations of the UGC-SAP scheme. The initial appointment will be for one year and will be annually extended based on satisfactory performance of the fellow.

Essential Qualifications:
- Second class Masters Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH) or M.Phil. in biological sciences / chemistry or related subjects. The candidates having first class B.Tech. degree or MBBS degree are also eligible.
- Knowledge of basic instruments commonly used in biological research and computer application is desirable.
- The candidate should be below the age of 40 years at the time of appointment.
