"Technical Writing Opportunities" Position & Salary Technical Writer (1 Post ) Consolidated salary Rs.22000-45000/- p.m.commensurate with experience and proven skills Qualification Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering disciplines or Masters in Science / Humanities / Journalism / Communications with proven skills in writing. Desired Skills and Abilities-Learning Strategies, Active Listening / writing / learning, Time Management, Reading Comprehension, Flair for writing. Job Profile The Dean (R&D) Office at IIT Bombay needs writers for technical writing, to disseminate the research work done in the Institute and prepare write-ups, brochures, booklets, etc. in an interesting manner for a wider audience. Such write ups need to convey an overview of the activities in a simple and user friendly manner for a general readership. Candidate will need to understand the science of the research work and convert it into a form that is accurate and interesting / intelligible to the layman. This may need reading research publications, searching the internet / library, meeting / talking to concerned researchers, visiting laboratories etc.
