Professor (Four posts) (Pay band: Rs.37, 400-67,000 + AGP Rs. 10,000 {Minimum pay
to be fixed at Rs. 43,000 per month}).
1.1.1. Eligibility conditions for direct recruitment:
(a) An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualifications(s) in concerned/allied/relevant discipline
relevant to the area of educational policy, planning and administration and published work
of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work, with minimum
of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
(b) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience of guiding candidates for research at
doctoral level.
(c) Contribution to educational innovations, design of new curricula and courses, technologymediated teaching-learning process.
(c) A minimum score stipulated in Academic Performance Indicators (API) based Performance
Base Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in UGC Regulations with in Appendix III of UGC
Regulations 2010.
OR
An outstanding Professional, with established reputation in the field of educational policy, planning
and administration who had made significant contribution to knowledge in the
concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
1.1.2. Eligibility conditions for Deputation/Transfer
a) Officers/Academics from Central or State Governments, Universities, Professional and
Research Institutions/bodies:
(i) holding analogues post on regular basis; or
(ii) with five years of regular service in the post in the pay band of Rs. 37,400-67000 +
AGP Rs. 8,700 from government source or five years regular service as
Reader/Associate Professor or in the post in pay band of Rs. 37,400-67,000 with
AGP Rs. 9,000 or equivalent; and
b) Possessing qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits. (Period of
deputation shall not ordinarily exceed four years)
1.2. Associate Professor (One post) (Pay scale: Rs. 37,400-67,000 + AGP Rs. 9,000).
1.2.1. Eligibility conditions for direct recruitment:
(a) Good academic record with Ph. D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline
relevant to the area of educational policy, planning and administration.
(b) A Master’s degree in a subject relevant to the area of educational policy, planning and
administration with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever
grading system is followed.
(c) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an
academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College
or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with
evidence of published work of high quality and a minimum of five publications as books
and/or research/policy papers.
(d) Contribution to educational innovations, design of new curricula and courses, and
technology-mediated teaching-learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral
candidates and research students.
(d) A minimum score stipulated in Academic Performance Indicators (API) based Performance
Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in Appendix III of UGC Regulations 2010.
OR
An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the field of educational policy, planning
and administration, who had made significant contribution to knowledge in the concerned*/allied
relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
1.2.2. Eligibility conditions for Deputation/Transfer
(a) Officers/Academics from Central or State Governments, Universities, Professional and
Research Institutions/bodies:
(i) holding analogous post on regular basis; or
(ii) with five years of regular service in post in the pay band of Rs.15,600-39,100 + AGP
Rs. 6,000 from government source or five years regular service as
Lecturer/Associate Professor or in post in pay band of Rs. 15,600-39,100 + AGP
Rs. 5,400 or equivalent; and
(b) Possessing qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits mentioned above.
(Period of deputation shall not ordinarily exceed three years)
1.3. Assistant Professor (Five posts) (Pay band: Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP Rs. 6000).
1.3.1. Eligibility conditions for direct recruitment
(a) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a subject relevant to the
area of educational policy, planning and administration from an Indian University, or an
equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(b) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National
Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like
the SLET/SET.
(c) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (a) and (b) above, candidates, who are, or
have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission
(Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be
exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for
recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in
Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
2. GENERAL CONDITIONS
(i) Reservation for SC/ST/OBC and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) exist as per
GOI/UGC/NUEPA norms.
(ii) Candidates already in employment under government/semi government organizations/
autonomous bodies should send their applications through proper channel.
(iii) Candidates from outside Delhi called for seminar/group discussion and interview will be
paid travel cost and per diem as per NUEPA rules.
Notes:
(i) The services rendered on joining NUEPA after 1.1.2004 by those who are already on pension
scheme in central universities/colleges and other institutions deemed to be universities under
purview of UGC shall be permitted to continue to be governed under CCS (Pension) Rules,
1972 on joining of NUEPA.
(ii) The services rendered on joining NUEPA after 1.1.2004 by those other than that stated at (i)
above will be governed under new contributing pension scheme and no conversion shall be
allowed.
(iii) Five non-compound advance increments shall be admissible at the entry level of recruitment as
Assistant Professor to persons holding degree of Ph.D. awarded in relevant discipline by the
University following the process of admission registration, course work and external evaluation
as per the UGC norms.
(iv) M. Phil. degree holders at the time of recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor shall be
entitled to two non-compound advance increments.
(v) Minimum requirements of qualifications and/of experience may be relaxed in respect of
exceptionally outstanding candidate. The University reserves the right to fill up or not to fill up
any or all the posts or to shortlist and select the candidates in any suitable position depending
upon the qualification and experience required for the said post.
