The vacancies shown above are tentative and could vary at the time of selection. Hence, panel is proposed to be created for the posts falling vacant subsequently to be filled up under the above categories during the validity of panel.
1. Eligibility:
(A) Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India.
(B) Educational qualification & Experience : Bachelors Degree in Economics or Statistics or
Commerce from a recognized University and three years experience in collection/tabulation
analysis of statistical data or research in economic field in any department of the Central Govt. or
State Govt. or in any organization of reputed or statutory body.
(c) Essential: Bachelors Degree in Economics or Statistics or Commerce from a Recognized
University and three years experience in collection/tabulation and analysis of statistical data or
research in economic field in any department of the Central Govt. or State Govt. or in any
organization of reputed or statutory body.
(D) Desirable : Training in any branch or statistics or research in the field of Economics and
knowledge or computer application.
2. Age : Not below 18 years and not above 28 years. (No age limit for KVIC employees
working in one grade below)
Relaxation :
(SC/ST : By 5 years.) (OBC : By 3 years.) (PH : By 10 years.)
Ex-Serviceman: By 3 years in addition to usual period of service in the defence forces
subject to maximum age of 50 years. Govt. Employees : 05 years.
3. Selection Procedure:
(A) Selection will be on the basis of performance in personal interview.
(B) The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same
does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
(c) Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it will not
be convenient or possible for the KVIC to interview all the candidates, the KVIC at their discretion
may restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit by any one or more of the following
method:
i) On the basis of their qualifications higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement, or
ii) On the basis of the experience in the relevant field. Or
iii) By holding a screening test.
The candidate should therefore , mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field over and above the minimum qualifications and should attach attested /self certified copies of the certificate in support thereof.
4. Appointment :The candidates selected will be posted anywhere in India.

6. GENERAL:
A. Candidates already employed in Government / Public Sector Undertakings shall be required to
produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer, at the time of the interview.
B. The candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC categories should attach certified copy of the SC / ST
/OBC caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by the Government of India, failing which, his / her application is liable to be rejected. Mere Declaration on Oath” is not accepted. The Competent Authority for issuing caste certificate to the candidates belonging to OBCs is the same as in the case of SC/STs. OBC candidates must ensure that the community to which they belong is recognized as other backward class under the Central Governme nt List i.e. under Government of India, Ministry of Welfare Resolution No.12011/68/93-BCC (C ) published in the Gazette of India extraordinary Part I-SEC dated 13-09-1993 (and not as per the State Government List or Income Tax Criteria etc.) The Caste mentioned in the Certificate should tally letter by letter to that of the Caste as appearing in the Central Government List/Notification. The certificate inter alia must specify that the candidates does not belong to creamy layer section excluded from the benefits of reservation for other backward classes in Civil post and services under Govt. of India. OBC certificate should not be more than one year old as on the date of application. APPLICATIONS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY THE ABOVE CERTIFICATES ARE LIABLE TO BE REJECTED.
C. The candidates should not send ORIGINALS/COPIES of any other certificates/testimonials.
D. Candidates are required to paste one recent passport size photograph in the space provided for in
the application format and sign it across. They are advised to retain two copies of the same
photograph for use at the time of written/interview. Failure to produce the same photograph at that
time will lead to disqualification of the candidates.
E KVIC shall not be responsible for an application being rejected which is based on wrong information provided and/or in any advertisement issued by an unauthorized person/institution.
F. If called candidates have to appear for the written test/Skill Test/Interview at their own cost. However, unemployed SC/ST candidates who are called for interview will be reimbursed II Class Rail/Bus fare, as per the rules.
G. Selected candidates will be governed by the terms and conditions of the service regulations under KVIC.
H. The selected candidates will be eligible under New Pension Scheme introduced by the Government of India w.e.f. 01.01.2004.
I. Before applying for the post, candidates should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility norms in all respects as mentioned in this advertisement, as on the dates specified. The KVIC shall be free to reject any candidates. No correspondence would be entertained by the KVIC in this behalf.
J. The decision of the KVIC in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidates, conduct of examinations, skill test, interview, select ion and appointment of candidates etc. would be final and binding on the candidates. No correspondence would be entertained by the KVIC in this behalf.
K. In case any candidate desires to institute any legal proceedings against the KVIC in respect of anything done or proposed to be done by the KVIC in relation to him or her, such legal proceedings shall be instituted only in the courts in Mumbai and not in other Courts.
L. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
M. The candidates should send only one application in an envelope.
N. Once an application is submitted by the candidate under particular category, it cannot be changed subsequently.
O. Candidates in their own interest are advised to submit their applications well in time before the last date to avoid possible delay in postal transit. Applications received after the last date shall be rejected. The KVIC takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or loss in Postal transit of any application or communication.
P. In addition to the number of posts mentioned, a panel on the basis of merit list will be prepared as recommended by DSSCs for filling upl of vacancies occurring within one year under DR quota subject to vacancy being live.
