The above vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked list published by the Commission in
response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the
said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum
period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from
the said list against the vacancy noted above and those that may be reported to the Commission in
writing during the period of currency of the list.

6 Age : 18 – 35 .Only candidates born between 02.01.1976 and 01.01.1993 (both dates included)
are eligible to apply
for this post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled
Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward

7. Qualifications:
Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Application with not less than 60% marks from a
State/Central Government Institution or any other Institution recognised by AICTE or equivalent with
graduation in physics/Mathematics/ Chemistry/Computer Science/Computer Applications.
OR
A Degree of a recognised University and three years Diploma in computer Hardware
Maintenance awarded by State Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala.
OR
B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science (3 years Course) with not less than 60% marks from a
recognised University.
OR
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) Degree (3 years) from a recognised University.
Note : (a) The total number of vacancies sanctioned for the post of vocational
Instructor shall be filled by the method of
(i) By promotion from qualified Laboratory Assistant in KVHSE Department
(ii) By transfer from qualified staff in the Ministerial Subordinate
Service in the KVHSE Department and
(iii) By Direct recruitment in the ratio 2:1:7, Subject-wise. If sufficient number of qualified
persons are not available under item (i) or (ii) above, such vacancies shall also be filled

(b) All the educational qualifications for teaching posts should be one acquired after a
regular course of study from a recognized University in Kerala or recognized as
equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala.
( c) Every person appointed to the post shall be from the date on which he/she joins duty
will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period
of three years.
(d) In case a written examination is conducted for this selection, the admission tickets
of the eligible candidates will be issued through the official website of the KPSC
and the candidates shall download and take printouts of the same.
8. Mode of submitting Applications:
The applications with a latest Passport size Photograph uploaded shall be submitted by online
only. Photographs uploaded should be taken after 31-12-2010. The name of the candidate and the
date of taking photograph should be printed at the bottom. Detailed instructions regarding the
submission of applications are available in the website of Kerala Public Service Commission viz.
www.keralapsc.org. The barcode number in the application form shall be quoted in all further
enquiries/correspondences. Documents to prove qualification, age and community have to be
produced as and when called for. Application which are submitted not in accordance with the
instructions given in the website will be summarily rejected.

11.If a written Test/OMR Test is conducted as part of the Selection, Hall Ticket of eligible
Candidates will be made available in the website of the Kerala Public Service Commission.
Candidates are instructed to download their Hall Ticket as per the instructions in the website.
12. At the time of Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, Practical Test, interview etc,
Candidates shall produce their Photo affixed ID proof in Original and self attested photocopy of
(Voters Identity Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Identity Cards issued by Social Welfare
Department to Physically Handicapped Candidates, Photo affixed Pass Books issued by
Nationalized Banks, PAN Card, Identity Cards issued to Government Employees by the
concerned Departments) along with Hall Tickets.
