Applications are invited for the posts Junior Research Fellows (JRF) and Project Fellows under
various research projects in the Department of Physics, University of Mumbai, Vidyanagari, Mumbai-

2 DST Purse Two
Consolidated Rs. 10,000
pm.
M. Sc. Physics of recognized University with
minimum 55% (or B+), consistent good
academic record and NET/SLET qualification.
Candidates without NET/SLET qualifications
may also apply but, if selected, will be
appointed as Project Fellow and they would be
appointed on consolidated salary.

M. Sc. of recognized University with minimum

apply but, if selected, will be appointed as
Project Fellow and they would be appointed on
consolidated salary. As the programme is of
interdisciplinary the candidates having M Sc in
Physics or Chemistry or Biotechnology or
Lifesciences or Biophysics will be considered.
Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae (along with testimonials if any) to Professor and Head, Department of Physics on or before 26th September, 2011, 1:00 pm. The list of short-listed candidates will be announced on 27thSeptember, 2011.
The interview of the short-listed candidates is likely to be held on 28thSeptember, 2011 at 11.00 am in the Department of Physics. Appointments will be made initially for a period of two years and on satisfactory performance the extension of one year may be granted. No TA, DA will be given for the interview and the candidates should make their own arrangements for travel and boarding.
