Research Scientist (Temporary appointment on consolidated pay)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
PhD in Chemistry with at least three years of hands-on experience or M. Sc. in Chemistry
with at least 5 years of hands-on experience of working with any of the following
sophisticated instruments:
(i) Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer
(ii) Mass Spectrometer
The research scientist will be responsible for one or more of the above and/or other
sophisticated instruments. He or she will liaise with the institute research groups and external
users and will be encouraged to conduct independent research at the institute based primarily
on the sophisticated instruments under his/her charge.
Consolidated salary:
Rs 35,000 - 50,000 per month depending on qualification and experience.
Tenure:
The appointment will be on temporary basis and initially for one year and likely to be
extended further.
