Applications are invited for the following posts: - Chief Administrative Officer:
This is the senior most position in Administration reporting to the Director of the Centre. The incumbent will be in overall charge and responsible for general Administration, including programme implementation, human resources management, stores and purchase, engineering services, public relations, legal and contract matters, estate, transport and security at Tata Memorial Centre. The candidate will also contribute to the formulation and utilization of annual budget of the Centre. The incumbent must have full knowledge of Governmental procedures, rules and regulations. The candidate would also be required to function as Secretary to the governing Council and to provide all administrative assistance to the Director, TMC as may be required.
Essential qualifications: Minimum MBA(full time course) from a recognized Institute of repute. Formal qualification in hospital management such as Diploma in Hospital and Health Management or Law is desirable.
Experience : Minimum 15 years, preferably in a Central Governmental organization or in a large(more than 500 bedded) health care organization. The incumbent should be holding/have held a senior position of which the immediate preceding 5 years or more should have been in the grade of Rs.12000-375-16500(pre-revised) or equivalent. Should be strong in Government Accounting systems, and capable of rendering proactive administrative services. Being an institution primarily dedicated to patient care, the person should have bent of mind to find solutions to administrative problems with social and human approach and lend active supporting role to alleviate patient suffering.
H.R.D. Officer:
Graduate with P.G. Management degree/diploma in Human Resource/Labour Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Public Administration. The incumbent will have to look after all the H.R. related matters, staff welfare problems and handle staff grievances at TMC. The candidate should be able to draft procedures related to HR, execute disciplinary cases, conduct domestic inquiries and deal with litigation matters. Minimum 8 years experience in responsible capacity in personnel and H.R. Must be able to run computerized systems i.e. Personnel Information System transactions, Pay Roll Systems, Time Keeping etc. in a large organization. Candidates working in Central Government/Autonomous Body/PSUs in the administrative category in the grade of Rs.10000-325-15200 (pre-revised) with minimum 5 years service or in lower grade with 8 years experience in the post are preferable.
Deputy Controller of Accounts:
B. Com. or any graduate with 5 years experience in Financial Management and Managerial Information System. The candidate should be well-versed with hands-on experience in computerized accounting systems including online transactions. Accounts Officer from a reputed organization having minimum 5 years experience in the pre-revised scale of Rs.7500-12500. Candidates with M.B.A./C.A./M.Com./ICWA will be desirable and will be considered for higher salary as per norms.
Deputy Chief Security Officer (Grade-II) :
Graduate from a recognized University. Preference will be given to ex-servicemen/Police Personnel worked in a senior capacity not below the equivalent rank of Captain/D.S.P. in the Army/Police respectively or the candidate should have worked as Security Officer in a large civil organization for a minimum period of 8 years in the pre-revised scale of Rs.6500-10500. He will be well versed with vigilance work, fire fighting procedures and field work, Police Liaison, Domestic Inquiry procedures etc. and should be dynamic having proven leadership qualities. The candidate would need to assume total administrative responsibility to co-ordinate and organize all stated functions in the Security Dept. and will assist the Chief Administrative Officer in the overall administration of Tata Memorial Hospital at Mumbai and ACTREC at Navi Mumbai. He may also have to handle the entire security work independently in the absence of the Chief Security Officer.
Assistant Medical Superintendent, (Trainee) :
Medical degree(M.B.B.S./M.D.) or Dental Degree(B.D.S./M.D.S.) + Post Graduation in Hospital Administration. Prior experience in a hospital is preferable. Candidates with M.H.A. will be preferred. The incumbent should be able to demonstrate special interest in a focused area of Hospital Administration. Suitable candidate may be considered for permanent position at the Centre should a vacancy arise.

It is mandatory to submit online application only. AGE: 50 years for Sr.Nos 1 to 4 and 45 years for Sr.No.5. Age Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for Physically Handicapped. The age will be reckoned as on 25.11.2011. Age may be relaxable in cases of exceptional merit, qualifications and experience and also for departmental candidates. In addition to pay other allowances as admissible under Central Government Rules. The Institution has an option either to offer scale of pay as mentioned above or consolidated pay for a fixed term contract basis to the selected candidates. On the recommendation of the Selection Committee, candidates may be offered a higher or lower grade than advertised depending on the qualifications, experience and performance in the interview and needs in respective Dept. Appointed candidates may be placed as per needs of the Departments in the Tata Memorial Hospital and /or ACTREC at Navi Mumbai. The candidate shall submit a Demand Draft of Rs.300/-(Rs.75/-for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai – 400012 by Post and a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of all certificates regarding Date of Birth, Educational qualification, Experience Certificates, Caste Certificate, Physically Handicapped Certificate etc. along with the copy of online application form on orbefore the last date of receiving the applications to the H.R.D. OFFICER, TATA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, PAREL, MUMBAI-400 012. No other mode of payment will be accepted. It is mandatory to submit a copy of Online application along with copies of relevant certificates otherwise the candidature of the candidate will be treated as cancelled. Female candidates are exempted from paying of fees while submitting application. Persons working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/ Semi Government Organizations and other Public Sector Undertakings must submit their application forwarded through the head of the organization. Separate applications should be submitted for each post. Three Referees listed by the candidate should have been associated with the training or supervision of the candidates work during past 05 years. Late and incomplete applications are liable to be rejected. No correspondence of any kind will be entertained. Canvassing of any form will disqualify candidates. The Tata Memorial Centre reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates called for the interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience of the applicants. Mere fulfilling the prescribed qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for interview.
