Applications in prescribed proforma are invited from amongst the Indian citizen
for filling up of the following temporary, coterminous and contractual posts under the
Comprehensive Scheme: Cost of Cultivation, funded by Directorate of Economics,
Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India for
implementation in the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya –
I. Field Officer – 1 Post
II. Assistant Statistician – 1 Post
III. Fieldman – 60 posts
IV. Computer – 6 posts
V. Clerk – 2 posts
VI. Typist – 1 post
VII. Peon – 1 post
Pay: I Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400+ HRA & other Allowances
II. Rs. 9300-34400+ Grade Pay Rs. 4200+ HRA & other Allowances
III. Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900 + HRA & other Allowances
IV. Consolidated Pay Rs. 7100 per month + other Allowances as admissible
V. Consolidated Pay Rs. 7100 per month + other Allowances as admissible
VI. Consolidated Pay Rs. 7100 + per month + other Allowances as admissible
VII. Consolidated Pay Rs. 5740 per month + other Allowances as admissible
Age as on 01.01.2011: 37 years for General candidates & 42 years for SC/ST candidates
Reservation: 100-point Roster for appointments will be followed as per West Bengal
Reservation Act.
Qualifications for I : M. Sc. (Ag.) in Agril. Economics followed by B.Sc. (Ag.)Hons.
With at least three years experience of research work
Qualifications for II : M. Sc. (Ag.) in Agril. Statistics followed by B.Sc. (Ag.)Hons.
Qualifications for III : H.S. (Vocational Agriculture), preference will be given to those
having some survey experience in the field of Agriculture.
Qualifications for IV : B.A. or B.Sc. or B. Com with at least one of the Subjects viz.
Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics at degree level. Preference will be given to
those having at least 2 years experience in statistical work in any Govt. or non-Govt.
Organization.
Qualifications for V : H.S. pass. Desirable qualification – Working knowledge in
computer.
Qualifications for VI : H.S. pass and having type writing skill in computer typing @ 30
words/minute.
Qualifications for VII : Class VIII pass
Appointment to the posts under Sl. IV, V, VI & VII will be made on contractual
basis for a period of one year initially but renewable on a year-to-year time scale,
depending upon performance and other criteria of the appointees. In respect of posts
under categories I, II & III appointment will be made on co-terminal basis i.e., project
based appointment be made.
Place of posting of the appointees under Sl. I, II, IV, V, VI & VII is to be at
Directorate of Research, BCKV, Kalyani, Nadia, W.B. In respect of other categories of
appointment places of posting are to be anywhere in West Bengal. The appointees except
those under Sl. IV, V, VI & VII shall be entitled to CPF and such other terminal benefits
as may be admissible under the scheme by the Govt. of India. There is no provision of
payment of pension under the scheme at present.
