Essential Qualification
• Applicants must possess a Post-Graduate Degree in social science (population studies,
social work, sociology, Public Health, Epidemiology, etc.) including statistics from a
recognized university.
• The aspirant of Ph.D. degree or already registered with any university would be highly
considered.
• Further specific experience in the area of HIV/AIDS or in public health and epidemiology
would be an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities
• The appointees will support two projects named “Impact Evaluation” and Knowledge
Network” of consortium partners;
• Providing research and analytical assistance to the consortium organization,
• Contribution to writing research articles and documentation;
• Working with consortium partners in an independent and collaborative setup;
• Participating in and contributing to internal reporting systems; and
• travelling as needed
Essential Competencies:
• An excellent understanding of advance statistical techniques in population and social
science research with a commitment to address research issues from HIV/AIDS
perspective is essential. • Knowledge of applications of survey methodologies (both quantitative and qualitative
research methods) and data analysis techniques;
• Ability to make oral and written presentations; with
• Basic project management skills and
• An excellent Knowledge of various computer applications such as Ms-office, SPSS,
STATA and others are expected.
• The candidate must have demonstrated ability to work in a team is a requirement.
Desirable Competencies:
• Proven experience in social research or implementation (5 – 7 years) is essential.
• Demonstrable familiarity with projects funded by the international donor and experience
of working with government systems would be beneficial.
• Excellent oral and writing skills in English are required.
• Knowledge of Marathi and Hindi with other Indian languages is desirable.
