The Department of Languages, requires the services of One Copy Editor (Urdu) and One Proof Reader
(Urdu) on contractual basis for PAC approved programmes.
The terms and conditions are as under:
1. Qualifications for Copy
Editor
Master’s Degree from a recognized University with proficiency in
Urdu and minimum two year’s proven experience in copy-editing
in a reputed Publishing House.
OR
Graduation with Urdu as a subject with minimum 3 year’s
experience.
Desirable – i. Proficiency in Urdu-English-Hindi
ii. Knowledge of Computer in Urdu & English
2. Qualifications for Proof
Reader
Graduate with Urdu and one year’s experience in proof reading
and proficiency in Urdu.
Desirable – i. Proficiency in Urdu, English & Hindi
ii. Knowledge of Computer in Urdu & English
3. Emoluments
Copy Editor
Proof Reader
Consolidated Rs. 11,700/- p.m.
Consolidated Rs. 8,100/- p.m.
4. Tenure of Post upto 31
st
March, 2012
5. Test & Date of Interview Walk-in-Interview on 28th Sept., 2011 at 10 A.M.

7. Age Preferably below 30 years
Note :
1. Candidates attending the interview would not be paid any TA/DA by the NCERT.
2. Assignment is purely temporary and it will not confer on him/her any claim for regular
employment in NCERT.
3. The candidates who have already worked in the Council for two years need not apply.
4. Candidates should bring their original certificates and other documents in support of their claim in
age, educational qualifications, experience etc. at the time of interview as specified above.
5. Candidates already in job should get their applications forwarded through their employers and/or
come with a “No Objection Certificate.”
6. Number of Vacancies is tentative.
