Research Position (JRF)
Applications are invited for the two posts of JRF for the project entitled “Scale variant geospatial feature mapping using spatio- temporal data in and around Parvati Valley, HP” funded by DTRL, DRDO, Min. of Defence, New Delhi.
Qualifications : M.A./M.Sc. (Geography/Geology/Remote Sensing and GIS) with at least 55% marks
Desirable :
- Good knowledge of handling multi-sensor, high resolution digital satellite data
- Minimum one year post P.G Experience in Remote Sensing, GIS, digital image processing work preferably through ERDAS & ARC GIS softwares
- M.Phil, Experience in Research/ Data Analysis/ Knowledge of SPSS
- Experience in handling GPS and other field instrument in field.
Job Requirements: Analysis of satellite Imageries,field survey in Himachal Pradesh and other states, tabulation and analysis of primary and secondary data, assistance in report writing.
Period of Project : 12 months Emoluments : ` 12 000 per month (consolidated)

Applications are invited for one temporary post of Computer Operator in DST-PURSE Programme on ` 8,000/- per month (Consolidated). The candidates should possess the following qualifications:-
Essential Qualifications
(a) Senior School Certificate Examination.
(b) Knowledge of Fundamentals of Computer, Window, MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, etc.
Desirable Qualifications
Should have working experience of one year in Computer Operation.
The project is valid upto August, 2012. Selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year or till his services are required by Project (Admn.) Cell or till the validity of project, whichever is earliest.
