Walk-in-interview will be conducted on 19th August,2011 at 3.00 p.m. in the Vice-Chancellor’s
Committee Room, Panjab University, Chandigarh, for filling up the following posts on contract basis for
the period of one year and extendable as per requirement, in the School of Communication Studies (P.U.
Community Radio Station):

1. Qualifications for the post of Station Manager-1
Post graduate in Mass Communication with minimum 55% marks from a recognized Institute/University.
Minimum Five years experience of having worked in a Radio Station as Programming Head/Producer.
Knowledge of scheduling software, programme production, planning and marketing.
Working knowledge of ON-AIR software (RCS, NEXGEN/Power Gold, Editing software Sony, Vegas,
Monkey Grubber, Nuendo etc.)
Administration of day to day affairs of the Station; Monitoring of content as per broadcasting
maintenance of log file and archival material; program production and scheduling; maintenance of
accounts; organizing of training modules etc.
2. Qualifications for the post of Technician (Full Time)-1
10+2 class with Science or any other equivalent examination. Diploma in Radio/ Telecommunication/
Electrical/ Electronics Information Technology/ Electrical Communication Engineering/ Sound
Recording and Sound Engineering recognized by Govt. of India.
10+2 class or any other equivalent examination. Minimum 2 years experience in Radio/Broadcast
Industry with specialized experience of sound recording.
Preference will be given to persons having adequate knowledge of computer based audio softwares.
Maintenance & Operation of Electrical / Electronic equipments of Radio Station; trouble shooting of any
system problem, handling of transmitters, audio consoles, audio boosters, amplifiers, audio software etc.
for program generation and transmission.
3. Technician (Part Time)-1
The qualifications and job requirements are the same as for the post of Technician (Full Time) as stated

puchd.ac.in (to be submitted along with fee of Rs.375/- for General Category and Rs.150 for SC/ST
category for the post at Sr.No.1 and Rs. 250/- for General Category and Rs. 100/ for SC/ST category for
posts at Sr.No.2 & 3, by way of a Bank Draft in favour of the Registrar , Panjab University, Chandigarh).
