(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching
learning process. (iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal
System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulation, 2010 in Appendix III.

B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant
contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
2. Essential Qualification for the Post Code: ET/ ASP /7-2011/UR
i. A Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engg., & Tech., and
experience of eight years in teaching, research and / or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding
period spent on obtaining the research degree.
OR
ii. In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:
1. First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engg., & Tech.;
2. Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in appropriate branch of
Engg., & Tech., and industrial / professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecturer,
Provided that the recognition for significant professional work shall be valid only if the same is recommended
unanimously by a 3-Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
iii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:
1. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;
2. Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books, and / or technical reports;
3. Experience of guiding the project work / dissertation of PG / Research Students or supervising R&D projects in
industry.
3. Essential Qualification for the Post Code: Compsc/ASP/7-2011/SC, Edu/ ASP /7-2011/UR, Math/ASP/7-

i. Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
ii. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is
followed).
iii. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent
to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the
period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or
research/policy papers.
iv. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching
learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
v. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal
System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulation, 2010 in Appendix III.
4. Essential Qualification for the Post Code: Compsc/ATPS/7-2011/SC, Chem/ATPS/7-2011/SC, Phil/ATPS/7-2011/
(UR), Masscom/ATPS/7-2011/UR, Com/ATPD/7-2011/SC, Phy/ATPD/7-2011/ST.
i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a
point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian
University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. ii. Besides fulfilling the above
qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or
similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to the UGC, Regulation(s), 2010 Clause 4.4.1, all
candidates who have either obtained Ph.D.degree on or before 31
st
December 2009 and candidates who had registered
themselves for Ph.D.degree on or before 10
th
July 2009 and are subsequently awarded Ph.D.degree shall remain
exempted from the requirement of NET for the purpose of appointment as Lecturer/Assistant Professor.

Important Notes & Instructions
1. NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities / Colleges / Institutions.
Provided however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and
Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for
recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions.
2. Candidates in service should submit application through proper channel or enclose “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE”, from their present
employer. However, an advance copy may be sent directly. Application received after stipulated date or incomplete will not be entertained and
shall be rejected; no further correspondence will be made in this regard.
3. For all teaching posts, the eligibility criteria shall be in accordance with the latest UGC regulations.
4. Mere submission of application / satisfying the eligibility criteria does not entail the candidate to be called for interview. University reserves the
right to shortlist the applications and call for interview whenever interview is held. The University also reserves the right to reject the candidature of the candidate at any stage of recruitment / selection process if anything found false, tampered, fabricated or suppression of any information
while registering the application and submitting the certificate/ testimonials.
5. Candidates having Ph.D with course work are exempted from NET as per UGC Guidelines.
6. University reserves the right to consider names of suitable candidates who may not apply formally.
7. If there is any change in the address after submission of application, the candidates should in his/ her own interest arrange with the post office
concerned for redirection of the communication from old to new address.
8. Separate application is required to be submitted for each Post.
9. Against specific reserved community quota, only candidates of that particular community will be considered. A relaxation of 5% may be
provided from 55% to 50% of the marks at the master’s level for the SC/ST category for all posts and to the physically and visually handicapped
persons in appointments as Assistant Professor. Please note - (a) Caste certificate from competent authority for SC, & ST candidates in the
prescribed format have to be produced. PWD candidates claiming the benefits of reservations should submit a copy of Medical Certificate as
specified in the disabilities Act of 1995 in support of their disability. (b) If the candidates wish to be considered against a specific community quota
and tick the community column accordingly, their application will be rejected unless proof of community in the prescribed format is enclosed.
(c) Any subsequent representation for change of community status will not be entertained under any circumstances.
10. Reservation is available for Persons with disabilities under section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights
& full Participation) Act, 1995. As reservation for physically challenged candidates is on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in
the appropriate category (viz SC/ST/OBC/PWD/UR).
11. Applicants for the reserved post of OBC are required to submit a certificate regarding his / her “OBC Status and belongingness to NON -
CREAMY LAYER” from the appropriate authority.
12. The application form should be written and signed by the candidate in his own handwriting only.
13. Candidate should clearly mention the Post Code and Campus carefully as applicable otherwise application can be rejected summarily.
14. Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in
reserve for any other purpose.
15. The University reserves the right to postpone / cancel this recruitment exercise for any / all the posts.
16. Those candidates who will attend the interview for the post of Professor and or equivalent will be reimbursed AC III tire train fare through
shortest route and those who will attend the interview for the post of Associate Professor & Assistant Professor and/ or equivalent will be paid III
tier Sleeper class train fare through shortest route on production of relevant tickets only. Bus fare shall be reimbursed only if there is no rail
connectivity.
17. Canvassing in favour of candidature both direct and indirect is strictly prohibited. Violation of this code of conduct will be treated as
misconduct and will be brought to the notice of selection committee. The University reserves the right to cancel candidature of such candidates
at any point of time if found in canvassing in any form.

Code 7061). Fee paid other than Bank draft shall not be accepted.
