Application is hereby invited for the walk-in- interview for the recruitment of one Senior
Research Fellow (SRF) on purely temporary/contractual basis in the DAC-ICARDA-ICAR pilot
project entitled “Enhancing Grasspea Production for Safe Human Food, Animal Feed and
Sustainable Rice Based Cropping System in India” under NFSM- Pulses under the direct
supervision of Professor (Dr.) Ashim Chandra Sinha , Dept. of Agronomy, Uttar Banga
Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Cooch Behar, Email: ashimcsinha@indiatimes.com/
ashim_sinha50@rediffmail.com. The project is funded by Ministry of Agriculture (Department
of Agriculture & Cooperation) under NFSM-Pulses (Vide-CPS No.5-34/2010-NFSM Dated 29
thOctober 2010). The tenure of the above post will be up to 31 st March 2012 (likely to be extended).
The particulars of posts under this project are given below:
HOW TO APPLY:
a) One advance copy of the application should preferably be typewritten as per the
proforma given below and to be sent in the following Email address of PI, Professor Ashim
Chandra Sinha (ashimcsinha@indiatimes.com/ ashim_sinha50@rediffmail.com.) and the
hard copy of the same should be submitted at the time of interview.
b) Bring the original and two sets of photocopies of the following documents /certificates
duly attested by a Gazetted Officer / Head of the Institution at the time of interview.
i) All the degree certificates & mark sheets and testimonials starting with HS (10+2) onwards.
ii) Proof of date of birth e.g. CBSE/ HSC/ SSC/ Matriculation certification.
iii) SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable, as per the prescribed format.
c) Enclose a self addressed envelope (size 5”x7”) with complete postal address including PIN
code affixing postage stamp of Rs.5/-.
d) Affix one passport size photograph on the space provided in the application format and
enclose one spare photograph in an envelope along with the application. Append your signatures
across both the photographs.
e) Persons working under the Central / State Government / Public Sector Undertakings should
